What else can I say, am just back from a lovely holiday in Italy with my boyfriend and now I am relaxing here in Luxembourg, so all is good really:)

So am off to the garden for some sunbathing:)

    update

Right, I've got five minutes before heading down to school, so thought I'd quickly update this...So what's new? I started Rugby again, went there last Wednesday and it was great! We were 17 which is really quite good and there was loads of mud, soooo much fun:) Training is quite cool here, an hour of warm up,fitness and ballhandling and then an hour full contact play, great but God I was hurting sooooooo much the next day after 8 months without Rugby...can't wait for next Wednesday!
Been to the cinema a few times already this year, saw The Golden Compass, My blueberry nights and It's a free world, the new Ken Loach. All great movies really!
Also started my teacher training, so far so good..haven't learned that much yet but was ok...it's funny in class we use four languages, Luxembourgish, French, Germa and English, where else would you find that!?!?!?
Rite I really better get going...quite a bit left to do with my classes before the next test....take care all of you!

    Happy new year!

Just wishing everyone a happy new year, may all your wishes come true!!! I haven't updated this in ages, because my life has been quite stressfull, but to sum it up in July Will and me moved to Luxembourg, I finished off my MA and passed it, started a new job which I really do like and passed my exams so that I can now start my three years of teacher training hell...but as I really do like the job it's worth sticking it out. We have both settled into our routine here in LUx and our flat has turned out really nice:) We just have been to Switzerland with my family for 10 days and it was awesome!!! Because a) there was sooooooooo much snow, and some runs that hadn't been open since 10 years were open again, b) I didn't have to miss Will, c) it was the first time in 8 years that I didn't have to study or write essays, oh sooooo nice!!!
Anyway now I'm back to reality which sucks;) Have a good year and I'll try to keep u posted:) For more pics always have a look on facebook!

    August 17

    Isle of Man, Graduation, Windsurfing...

God again a month has passed and I really don't know how it could happen that fast...well maybe me being quite busy and traveling around Europe might have helped...after my last update I had quite a few nice night outs back home, inviting people for dinner and going to see Juanes in Concert! That was great, such a good atmosphere (Y que guapo es!!!!!!!!!!!)
After that I went to visit Mardi on the Isle of Man, a nice little island between Ireland and England. It is quite small but there is loads to see: old castles, absolutely amazing landscape and nice little fishing villages. We had a great couple of days driving round the island, visiting all the touristy stuff and even climibing the highest mountain of the island!!!
And on a sidenote:we went to see Jeremy Clarkson's house!Unfortunately we didn't spot him tho, but his house is very nice located in an old light house!
After that I flew back to London and went to Colchester where I met my parents for the graduation. Mine happened to be on on of the hottest days ever recorded in England, which was not very nice when you're wearing a gown and are sat in an LTB without any aircon.....but hey I am a graduate now, wohoooo!! They day after that I showed my parents around Essex and Suffolk, and we had a good time. On Friday they went home and Will went to pick me up to spend the weekend wih him. On Saturday we went sailing with his parents which was quite cool, especially as I had been looking forward to that since about 2 years! On Sunday he had to drive me back to Dover where I caught the ferry to go back to Calais. My parents picked me up there and we spent a nice relaxing week on the Belgian coast, mainly reading, sunbathing and doing nothing...beautiful!!!!!
Back home I did the same as usual, help out at home and go out with my mates....can't wait to be at home again for good and finally being able to see them a bit more often!!!!
Then it was time to finally go Windsurfing again!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to the Bretagne with my friend Christine and we had a great time at the UCPA (a french organisation specialized in sports). We did windsurfing for a whole week and although we could have done with a bit more wind we nevertheless managed to learn quite a bit. Actually I was amazed that after 2 years of not doing any windsurfing I was still able to stand on the board (well most of the time anyway:))! I really hope that the watersports club at uni will get sorted out this year so that I'll be able to do some more windsrfing and sailing!!!! The place where we stayed is called Aber Wrac'h and it is not on the open sea but more like a sea arm (no idea if thats a word in English but anyway) so we were quite sheltered from the big waves. It is also a nice place for walks so everyday after windsurfing for 5 hours we went for quite a far walk (don't ask me where the hell i took all that energy from). We were well lucky with our roommate and the people in our group, they were all really cool people and we had a great time on the water and afterwards in the bar:) Unfortunately the week went really quickly and after a big kayak tour on Saturday we had to go home.....but I'm sure we'll be back there quite soon!
At the moment I am taking it a bit more relaxed, been to the Cinémathèque once to see the Maltese Falcon, and I realized how much I miss going there (at one point in my life I was there like 3 times a week....), a pitty they don't have one in Colchester (altho then it would prolly be so expansive that I wouldn't go anyway)...and now I am looking forward to pick Will up tonight as he's coming over for the weekend, yay!!! (hopefully there won't be any other problems at british airports...) We have planed quite a few things, touristy stuff as well as a Luxembourgish version of Go Ape and also loads of time just to relax and cuddle
Anyhow, I hope you're all having a great summer whereevre you are and whatever you're up to!!!!
    July 09

    Nice few weeks in Luxembourg

Hmm didn't really get around to update as soon as I wanted to....
I have now been in Luxembourg for about 3 weeks and had a great time! The first week there was quite a few things to do, one of them being the fact that I took part in a few classes in the school where I want to teach later. It is really weird being as a teacher in the same school that I have been a student for seven years...But I guess I better get used to that..I am actually looking forward to start teaching at some point, I hope I'll be able to shut the students up...I guess if not I'll have to scare them with threats of rugby tacklings
On Friday the 23rd was our national bank holiday and on the day before we always have fireworks and following an 8year long tradition I went again to a bbq at Paul's. it was so nice seing all my friends again and seing that altho the years go by our friendship doesn't change! (talking of years going by and getting old : two of my mates' girlfriends are pregnant!!!!!how scary is that, we are really grwoing up the I guess )
The day after that I went to that bbq I mentioned last time which was really nice. It was also quite interested for me as I was the only Luxembourgish person...here in Luxembourg (as in most countries I guess) the integration on the different groups of foreigners ain't exactly great..so you have a group of Portuguese (we have 67.000 here which is like a sixth of the whole population), the Italians, the European Community people and the Luxembourgish...those people at the bbq were all working the European Institution and some of them said: Oh my God you're Luxembourgish, really? You're the first we meet on a night out in the whole year that we've been here!!! How bad is that? Seriously, I think it really is a pitty it would eb so much more interesting for everyone if we all merger and mingeled! Ah well I guess it gave me a bit of a moment of fame and to be fair there are not many of us left so be proud to know me
After that Will was here for a week and we had a great time. We went to do quite some sightseing taking him around the country (literally ) and we also went to a big open air festival where we saw Franz Ferdinand and Placebo. Franz Ferdinand were absolutely brilliant but I was somewhat disappointed by Placebo for some reason. The festival altmosphere was quite 'interesting' drinking champagen standing two inches deep in mud.... We also went to belgium for two days just to relax and do basically nothing except play minigolf (I'll get my revenge!!!!) and driving around in go karts. Unfortunatlely the week went way too quickly and he had to go back to work, damn English laws for only giving you such short holidays!!!!!
After that I have generally been watching football and except that England was being kicked out I am quite satisfied as France is in the Finals! I really got to wear my Zidane Shirt more than I thought I would!!!!! Although tonight it will be his last game ever. Ah well I guess its a good way to end a carreer! Go FRANCE!

    My dream car

Last weekend we went to an American car show, god so many nice cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take a look at my dream car, I hope I'll get one some day!! Btw it's a Ford Mustang 64!!!

    Lux Nationalteam

Here is a pic of our Luxembourg team. If you are interested in finding out a bit more go to www.rugby.lu

    Scheinen Nationalfeierdaag!

Wohooo, finally I find time to write something in my blog again! Yup I am still alive jsut been kinda busy the last couple of months!  Hmm I don't really know where to start...there were always that many things were I thought that I should write it down and never got round to do so...well I guess that would be straight after the Easter holidays...
I went back to Essex and the first weekend back Steph came over for the Alumni weekend. I was a good weekend with quite a bit or Rugby and general fun...the weekend after that I went back home to Luxembourg for my cousins first comunion and also to play my first game for the Luxembourgish National Team  (I will try and add a picture but as my home computer is soooooooooo bloody slow I'm not sure if that will work..) anyway that weekend back home was brilliant, I saw many mates, played rugby (needles to say that we lost as it was our first ever game but hey you have to start somewhere...and it is soooooo cool to wear a shirt saying Luxembourg and people cheering you on!!!!), saw my family and could forget that the exams would start very soon ;)
anyway after that back in Essex I took it a bit slower as I had to study a fair bit for my Exams...I think they went ok, I'll get the results in like 2 weeks so fingers crossed!!!!! After the exams I had to crazy weeks, going to the beach with Will, Go Ape with the Rugby Girls (for those who don't know it's a place where you get hooked on a harness and have to climb on really high trees (which is quite stupid for me to do as I am afraid of heights) and  follow a course, sooooooooooooooo much fun that is!!!!!I will definitely go back!!), shopping with Mardi, flat end of year party, Rugby end of year dinner, badminton BBQ, loads of fun basically!
I also went up North to visit a friend in Lancaster and I had a great couple of days! We went walking in the Lake District and wow that is really beautiful, looks like Switzerland not like England! The following day we went to Alton Towers where I kinda lost my voice It was great going on all the rolercoasters, my favorites are Air and Oblivion! (www.altontowers.co.uk) and on the last day we went to York, which I think is the nicest city I have seen in Britain! Definitely worth going there!!!!
After that I had 2 days to do all my packing and panick about how everything would fit in ten car but luckily I could bribe Will and James with some Luxembourgish beer into allowing me to leave some stuff with them
Yup now I am officially a graduate..can't belive that those four years have gone that quickly..scary that is!!!!Oh well at least I am still a student for one more year!
Anyway I will write a bit more later but now I need to get going as Andrew's girlfriend has invited me to their bbq and I don't want to get there and all the sausages and beer already to be gone!  Hasta pronto!
    March 27

un fin de semana de puta madre

I am just back from Granada where I spend and amazing weekend!!! Mardi and me went back to see our flatmate from last year and her friends and also to eat as many tapas as we possibly could
What most amazed me was that about a month ago I sent an email out to all the people we met when we were there last year and said that we would go back and said that they could come along, and guess what, two actually did come, how cool is that!!!
Anyway we got there on Thursday night and went straight to tapas with Lucia, Carmen, Elsa and Seb, sooooooo nice to see everyone again! The next day we went shopping and dragged poor Seb along to girly shops for a couple of hours..i bought myself a nice Rip Curl Top and some surf shorts and then we had lunch sat on a bench near the river in the sun Quality!!!!!!!!!!In the evening we went for some nice tapas again and then back to the chupiteria, where we met with Roberto, and the chupitos are still as nice as last year! After that we went to a pub and I won against everyone at table football
On Saturday we had a nice lie in, did some more shopping and then we went back to the arab bath to relax and be pampered by a nice massage...we also went to the Mirador to have a look at the Alhambra and take a few more pictures even though I have already about 200 I guess, but hey it is so beautiful you can't get enough of it!
In the evening we went, guess what...for tapas and then botellon, and after that went to a new night club close to our old flat, and that was wicked!!!! wild west them and quite good music, so we actually danced till quite late and I am well pleased that it's not me becoming old and boring and not wanting a good night out anymore it's just nights out around university being crappy
On Sunday we basically just lay in a park all day sunbathing and getting sunburned, but it was really nice!
Unfortunately on the way back Ryanair was late as usual and so we missed the last bus and had to stay in Stansted airport, and got only back at half past 5 this morning...that would have been not too bad if I didnt have to travel back home to Luxembourg in 1 hour after exactly 2 hours sleep...hmmm not so nice...
so if anything I have written doesn't make sense just blame it on me not having slept
Right I better finish packing and get going again ( I wanna sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and hope this time the flight goes ok, but hey it is Luxair, so I have nice food and good service to look forward to!
    Hasta pronto!

    a million and one things

i don't really know where to start as soooooo many things have been happening these last two weeks...
2 weeks ago I went snowboarding with Will, his brother James, James's girlfriend Claire, Nick and another couple. We went to Tignes and it was amazing, the amount of snow that was there, I had never seen anything like that ever. As it had snowed 156 cm the two days before we went there was some chaos going on and instead of being there at 2pm we made it for 11pm..but still we were lucky as many people had to sleep in railway stations etc as the road kept being closed down because of avalanches. We has two nice and sunny days and for the other days it was snowing constantly, so every morning you had fresh powder which was quite cool. Unfortunately due to the snowing the vision wasn't great, but hey at least when you fell over it didnt hurt
Altho deep snow can actually be quite dangerous as I found out, coz i fell and got stuck and Nick had to dig me out otherwise I probably still would be stuck there now It was quite a nice hotel too, (altho it was very weird being in France but in an hotel full of english people, english staff, english food and an english pub....felt strange for some reason   (wann een schon an d'Ausland geet well een dach eng Paus vun deenen komeschen Insulaner...) we had loads of fun, did good snowboarding and it was nice to finally see Will again for a whole week ooh and pictures and VIDEOS can be found on: http://www.jamesdales.com/gallery.aspx
On coming back I had to go back to studying as I had 10 days to study for 3 Tests, write 2 essays and prepare one presentation...but I am nearly there!
Also with the Rugby girls we are doing soooooooo well, am really proud of our team, we made it into the semi finals last Wednesday and tmrw we will be playing Keele. Unfortunately I wont be able to go as I have my Spanish presentation...but good luck to the team!!!!!
Last weekend was really nice too, on Friday night Will and me had Sarah over for dinner, on Saturday we went to play squah, I never had played before but I really like it, think might do that a couple more times, and on Saturday night Will's parents took us out for a nice meal, for his dad's birthday, which was really nice too!
And then yesterday I had quite a crazy day, I should have been panicking for my Russian Test, but there came other news....Will and me were offered a house for next year, by my Russian teacher! So we went to have a look at it in the evening and it's quite perfect, really close to uni, new, nice all good really...so hopefully we'll be signing the contract  tomorrow...(god I am really growing up, doing all this adult stuff, quite scary...) Am really looking forward tho to move in with Will, I'll finally be able to see him as much as I want to
The next couple of days will be quite busy too, Sven and Maite will come for dinner tonight, and then I'll have to start packing as I'm leaving for Spain on Thursday, coming back Monday morning at like 2 am and leaving for Luxembourg on the same day at like 12..so that should keep me busy!
    March 01

    all happy...

just had quite a good day..took part in a netball tournament this afternoon with some of the rugby people, which was fun although I have to say netball is a very weird game....like a boring version of basketball, no running with the ball and not getting closer to people then one meter, because that is aparently obstruction...whatever!
Then we had our pancake day (I know it is a day late, but hey better later then never) in our flat, which was really nice! We had plenty of pancakes and then a cachimba which I had been craving since I came back to uni. We had so much fun putting candles in the kittchen (although that is very much against uni regulation, as candles are apparently sooooooo dangerous...stupid health and safety), putting nice soothing arabic music on and having the cachimba, very good way to relax
Tmrw I'll be helping a friend with French assignement, hoping that I actually remember some myself....
and the packing, wohooo! Two more good news, on Sunday if everything goes right our family is going to be bigger with my cousin having her first baby plus I found someone crazy enough to go to Russia with me in summer, that should be great!!!! So all good!!!! anyway now I better read some boring coursework to make me sleepy as I am way too bouncy to sleep...
    February 28

    London, Paris, Tignes....

I am just back in Colchester for a bit so I thought I better update this before I bugger off again!
At the moment my life is a bit crazy but very nice!!! I am just back from Paris where I spent a wonderful weekend with Will. We had free Eurostar tickets so we thought we might as well use them up and went for a romantice weekend. I haven't been in Paris since about 8 years so it was really nice being back there! We went to see all the touristy things, like Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and also something new for me the Catacombes. Those are old mines that in the 17th century got filled up with millions of skeletons from cemeteries in Paris as they were spreading disease, and now there are paths for miles and miles with on every side heaps of skulls and bones...I never had the courage to go when I was a kid but this time I actually had the courage and it was well interesting! I think the highlight of the weekend was a nice dinner on a boat on the Seine at night, with view of the Eiffel Tower etc, all nicely iluminated....also I met two friends, Ian and Sylvain and I was well happy to see them!
The weekend before my parents came to London and so we had a really nice weekend there. We went onto the London Eye, went to see a few exhibitions and also to see Saturday Night Fever, plus I met a few friends, so it was all good:)
In between I have been working like crazy on my essays and other work, and I'm quite happy as I am actually getting somewhere, wohoo! Unfortunately I also have quite a lot of work with my societies and as always everything is always on the same day, which really sucks...so basically I can't do much Rugby atm coz I'm having to work for the Latin American Womens Society..but on a good note we won the league and now we will be having the play offs, which is really good, so more rugby games to come, yay!!!!!
On Saturday I am off again to France to go Snowboarding, really looking forward to that. At the moment it is snowing loads so that shoud be great for some nice off piste
Now I better hurry off as I am meeting a friend for lunch and tmrw should be some fun too as I will be taking part in a netball tournament and I never have played before...so that should be interesting......
    hasta pronto!

    February 04

    ech sin net verluer gaang:)

I think I really should update this again, havent got around to do it in age! I have been quite busy again, but trying to think what I actually have done I can't think of a  lot really....
This week I finally could go back to Rugby Training after having to miss it for a week as my back was aching like hell...yeah I think I really start getting old On Wednesday we have our last BUSA game, so fingers crossed if we win that we will have gone undefeated all season which would be quite cool!
Otherwise I had a few nice evenings with Will (he cooked the nicest pasta ever or me, thanks honey!), been to the bar to watch football and rugby, met up with some friends, been to the theatre (well done Martin, Arianna and Richard!!!), and yeah...guess thats quite a bit actually
Also I now got my own snowboard its soooooooooooooooooooo nice!!!!!!! I think I quite annoyed Will as I behaved like a little kid, saying 'I have a snowboard' every 5 Minutes....can't wait to go snowboarding now, hopefully we'll go in March!
I am well proud too, I made my first steak and guiness pie today and it turned out really nice! Hmm sad for a student to say that I guess talking of being a student; since xmas we have a new teacher in our poetry class, and she is rather interesting, she looks like a 40 year old virgin that come right out of the ex sowjet union (sorry mite be a bit harsh as she is actually quite nice, or well tries to be) and guess what?!?!?she actually made us close our books at the beginning of the class and we had like a mini test to see how much we could remember of the poets, I mean come on this is university we're not 8 years old anymore! But apparently that's her way to get us to say our opinion, but plenty of other teachers seem to manage that in another a bit more friendly way....I guess I should take it with some irony.....
Also finally been out again yesterday night, we had a couple of people come to our flat for some drinks, which turned out to be really nice and some people that got quite drunk were hugely entertaining (u know who u are) after that we went down to the underground, where there was supposed to be boogie nights, but as it was again that wanker of a dj, that seems to be doing everything around this uni nowadays, the music was everything but boogie like, but anyway we were all in  a good mood so we danced anyway!
Tmrw should be nice too, gonna see Will for a bit and then go to the boys house to watch the 6 Nations Tournament, France against Scottland! I hope Mark and me won't get into any fights, although I guess that would be quite entertaining for the others
    January 19

    Back in the UK

I've been back since a week in Essex and didn't have any time to get bored, not that I ever do anyway
The first weekend I spend relaxing with Will and the I madly tried to  finish off my essays, which I finally handed in yesterday and so I went out to Sports Fed to celebrate. It was actually quite a good night hanging out with the badminton lot.
I also been to the cinema twice to see Matchpoint and  Brokeback Mountain. Matchpoint was really good, although not really typically Woody Allen. Brokeback Mountain was not bad but I really don't get how it could win all those Golden Globes, that should have gone to Good Night Good Luck or Matchpoint, but still well done for Ang Lee to bring up such a subject and shame to the State of Utah who banned it from the screens (how bloody backward can that country be?!?!) Anyway that was my political moment, I'll shut up now
Tomorrow I'll go shopping into town, trying to finally get my own scrum hat (not that anyone is interested in that but anyway) and in the evening it will be Flirt, Back to School, so hopefully that will be a good one!
And if Will and me won't be too tired we might drive up to Snow and Rock on Saturday to buy myself a nice Snowboard. Check it out: http://www.snowandrock.com/shop/activity/snowboard/equipment/snowboards/products/BSAHA.htm
Isnt't it beautiful?? I fell in love with it when I saw it and really really want it, hope they'll have nice sales prizes...
    Now time to watch Joey!
    January 07

    Luxembourg/Switzerland

Hello! I haven't updated this in a fair while, so there will be a lot to say so be prepared, but before I start boring everyone with all my news, I wish you all a happy new year!!!! I came back to Lux 3 weeks ago and had family dinners all over the place as it was just before xmas, but hey I got loads of nice presents so I can't complain (helmet for snowboarding, cooking book, hat, gloves etc:)) With some friends we had a pyjama party, yup you still do stupid stuff like that when you're 23, but we had a great laugh and it was nice to finally be all together again:) (you can see the pictures, btw we had a worst pyjama contest and to be fair I think my grandad's neightgown really should have won:)) After that I went to Switzerland, to Adelboden with the whole family like every year. We had quite a bit of snow and as it was really cold it stayed nice all the time we were there. I went back to snowboarding and managed to be blue ligue queen, which is one step up from what I got last year in snowboarding school, so I'm all happy. Now I even can do a fakie! And the best bit is that since years I had a dream, which was to do a pragliding tandem jump and finally this year I did it together with my uncle (poor guy I didn't really leave him a choice, but hey he enjoyed it in the end)!!!!!It was sooooooo cooooool!!!!!!!!!!Flying is great!!!!!I was a bit scared before we took off as I am scared of heights but as soon as you loose the ground under your feet, you also loose the fear and you just can enjoy the view. After flying slowly for a bit the guy asked me if I wanted to go a bit carzy and you can guess my answer:) that was better then any rollercoaster I've been on!!!!! It was just weird, coz there was a lot of fog where we had to land and it was strange not to see where you landed, but we actually landed where we should have not on a roof or something like that:) Yeah so that holiday was brilliant!!! Since I'm back home I am seeing quite a few mates, I went to see 'Good Night, Good Luck' which is brilliant and tmrw I will go to see 'The Matador'. But unfortunately I also have to write my essays, which I still haven't finsihed and which really really sucks!!!!!! Of course at this time of the year I am again religiously watching the Rally Paris Dakar on telly, this year it is very interesting as the race is very open and quite a few people could actually win it...but today finally Stéphane Peterhansel is the leader, so I really hope that will last as for me he the best ever!!!!!!!! And to close this of on a great note, I got send an email this morning from the Luxembourgisg Rugby Club asking me if I had a Luxembourgish passport, so that I can play for my country!!!!!!How cool is that!! I am now a rugby international!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    December 09

Essex Rugby Girls are the best!!!!

And again we won, this time against UCL, which was the most important game of the season, only one game left and we will be promoted! I can't belive we haven't lost  a single game this season, quite cool isn't it?!?
The game was good fun, really enjoyed playing altho the way my body felt afterwards was not fun, but guess there is no way around the aching with rugby...Tonite we will be doing a naked callender for charity but as in my first year I am chickening out again, am a Luxembourgish prude

Otherwise there is only one week left before I go home, can't belive how fast everything is going, its crazy...at the moment I am panicking between getting reading for my essays done, revising for my tests, wrapping presents and writing xmas cards....

Tonite we will have our flat xmas dinner altho 2 of them said today they couldn't make it...ah well more 'gromperenkichelcher' for me after that we will go down to fuse, the last ever, can't belive that is over now, it kinda was part of weekly Essex routine, but then againg over the past years the music got worse and worse all R&B crap...
Also I made my room all xmassy, a friend had a great idea to make an advent callender, we are 5 friends and we all had to send each other 6 presents, so that we would have one present per day, that is soooo cool, its great having a present to open every day, plus I have two chocolate advent callenders so I am never low on chocolate  I love xmas time, only snow is missing really!!!!
